Within the framework of international collaboration with universities and research institutes, tenured professors, researchers, and highly qualified experts from foreign universities, research institutions, and higher education bodies may be appointed as Visiting Professors, Visiting Researchers, or Visiting Fellows.

This applies to individuals invited to carry out teaching or research activities at the University of Palermo for a minimum period of one month, including those participating under International Cooperation Agreements.

A Visiting Professor is a tenured professor or a highly qualified scholar invited to carry out teaching and training activities within a degree programme offered by the University of Palermo. This teaching collaboration, lasting a minimum of one month, includes lecture series, seminars, conferences, and shared educational initiatives.

A Visiting Researcher is a researcher with proven qualifications invited to carry out research activities in collaboration with scholars from the University of Palermo, based within the relevant department or structure of the University.

A Visiting Fellow is a researcher invited to carry out research activities under the supervision of scholars from the University of Palermo, based within the relevant department or structure of the University.

This scientific collaboration, lasting a minimum of one month, is carried out through research activities within the University’s laboratories, joint scientific cooperation initiatives.
