The FORTHEM Alliance is a European university alliance that brings together nine universities from across Europe with the aim of promoting transnational higher education, mobility, and academic cooperation.

The University of Palermo is an active member of the alliance, which fosters multiculturalism, multilingualism, innovation, and shared European values through joint teaching, research, and mobility initiatives.

FORTHEM offers students, doctoral candidates, and staff a wide range of international opportunities, including short-term mobility programmes, interdisciplinary projects, digital courses, and collaborative research activities.

The alliance seeks to create an integrated European academic space capable of addressing contemporary social and cultural challenges through cooperation and knowledge exchange.
