LM-81 | Development and Migration Studies
International Master’s Degree Ascolta
The International Master's Degree in Development and Migration Studies aims to equip students with the knowledge, skills and practical abilities required for development aid and the governance of migration flows. The programme covers the conception, design and management of interventions on a global scale, as well as in various national contexts.
We aim to prepare students to analyse and manage migration flows in various contexts, providing them with a strong interdisciplinary focus and equipping them with knowledge and analytical tools from fields such as economics, history, philosophy, political science, anthropology, social statistics, sociology, law, demography, geography and area studies.
The programme is entirely in English and is structured to ensure global mobility on a large scale through initiatives such as double degree programmes (with Tunisia and Germany) and credit-based mobility with European and non-European Universities and institutions that actively participate in the programme. It also ensures a wide range of practical field activities in collaboration with international agencies, NGOs, foundations, and so on.
Thanks to this, graduates of the programme are qualified to pursue a wide range of professional roles in international organisations and agencies, EU offices, bilateral and multilateral development cooperation agencies, and local authorities.
