The PhD Graduate Program in “Biomedicine and Neuroscience” has four Courses:
· EXPERIMENTAL ONCOBIOLOGY
· MOLECULAR AND EXPERIMENTAL MEDICINE
· NEUROSCIENCE AND BEHAVIOURAL DISEASES
· NEUROSENSORIAL PATHOPHYSIOLOGY
These Courses are interdisciplinary and provide an internationally competitive education in many fields of medicine.
Students will have the opportunity to learn a wide range of experimental techniques as: immunomorphology; electron and confocal microscopy; electrophysiological methods; patch-clamping; molecular biology; biochemical and pharmacological methods; cell culture, etc.
Our goal is to graduate scientists with a broad base of experience and with modern experimental skills that will be able to explore cellular and molecular mechanisms of human diseases, including neuropsychiatric disorders, cancer, and chronic inflammatory, autoimmune and degenerative diseases.
Our students are expected to become researchers in the fields of human anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pharmacology, neurology, psychiatrics, and other biomedical disciplines in public or private institutions, including industry or government.
