Deutsch als Fremdsprache in Italien

Abstract

This paper aims to give an idea of the situation of German as a foreign language in Italy. It begins with a brief outline of the historical context and educational in which German language teaching has developed in this country. This is accompanied by some reflections on the methods of German teaching in Italian educational institutions and on research concerning the teaching of this language. It concludes with a up-to-date overview of where German can be studied and of how many students take advantage of these facilities.
