Educational objectives – professional opportunities for graduates

This course provides students with full knowledge of morphological, typological, functional, technical-constructional, structural, plant-engineering, managerial, environmental and economical aspects of the field. Students will learn how to draw building plans and control their implementation in cooperation with other specialists.

The coursework is designed to equip students with problem solving skills, knowledge and understanding of several issues such as:

 - character of complex building organisms;

 - analysis and solution of the relations between buildings and their internal and external physical-environmental context;

 - verification, design and production of complex plant-engineering systems;

 - verification, design and production of complex structural systems;

 - design, production and preservation of building components and materials;

 - analysis of materials, building systems and pathologies of historical buildings in their recuperation and preservation process;

In addition to private practice and high-level consultancy firms which deal with planning and design of building interventions (restoration and construction), integrated design of buildings, design of structures and plants for the building industry, graduates might also fill high responsibility positions in regional and private institutions or agencies in the building sector, in public and private engineering companies.
