Enrolment

Listen

1) Where can I find the enrolment procedures?

You can find the enrolment procedure on the UniPa International Students – Enrolments webpage. Start by selecting the category that applies to you, such as Non-EU citizen living abroad, EU citizen, or student with a foreign qualification. The page will then guide you through the relevant steps, including the UniPa Student Portal application, Universitaly preenrolment where required, tuition fees, and final enrolment. For non-EU students living abroad, it is especially important to follow the dedicated international-student procedure, as the requirements may differ from those for students already residing in Italy.

2) What documents should I upload in my application?

The required documents depend on whether you are applying for a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.

For a Bachelor’s degree, applicants are generally required to upload a valid passport, passport photo, High School Diploma, Transcript of Records, the relevant language certificate or proof of language proficiency, and any other documents requested for the specific programme.

For a Master’s degree, the standard application documents include a valid passport, passport photo, Bachelor’s Degree certificate, Transcript of Records, an accepted B2-level language certificate or Medium of Instruction certificate, and a CV.  Please remember that the documents uploaded during the application stage may not be the only documents required for final enrolment. International students with foreign qualifications may later need to provide their original qualification, legalized/translated documents and the appropriate DoV, CIMEA documentation or other accepted qualification-recognition documents, depending on their case.

3) Can I enrol with a provisional Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree certificate?

For international students applying with a foreign qualification, you should normally have the final qualification officially awarded in order to complete the required pre-enrolment and enrolment procedures.

In particular, UniPa’s guidance for Master’s applicants states that a provisional Bachelor’s Degree certificate is not accepted as a substitute for the final degree certificate in the Universitaly procedure.

If you have completed your studies but your final diploma has not yet been issued, do not assume that a provisional certificate will be sufficient. Please contact the International Students Office and explain your specific situation before proceeding, as they can confirm which document can be accepted in your case.
