Italian Courses for Foreign Erasmus students

To foster the integration of foreign incoming students, the University of Palermo set-up courses in italian for foreign Erasmus+ incoming students.

Registration

To enrol it is necessary to send an email to erasmusitastra@unipa.it with these documents:

- the application form (please download here yours);

- the Erasmus document (realised by Internation Relations Office of the University of Palermo).

 

The School organizes Italian language courses for Erasmus students. The first course is for free for the Erasmus students (KA 103 program) and it lasts 30 hours; it entitles the acquisition of 3 credits according to the resolution of the Academic Senate of the University of Palermo. For the students of the KA 107 program, the course costs €100,00.

The 3 credits of the course will be released only to the students who will attend at least the 80% of the lessons (24 hours of presence over 30 hours).

Placement test

Placement test

To attend the course, all the students have to take a placement test. It helps teachers to know the level of competence of the Italian language of each student. It is a written test (it lasts up to 60 minutes) and an oral interview (it lasts up to 15 minutes).

Only students who have sent the enrollment form and who have completed all enrollment procedures can take part at the course.

The day of the test will always be communicated to students enrolled via email a few days before.

The number of courses activated for each level varies according to the number of students enrolled (minimum required of students: 8) and based on the results of the placament test.

If there isn’t available the level of the students, students have to wait for the next courses.

Fees and payment

Costs and payment

Every Erasmus student (KA 103 - Intra EU) is entitled to attend the first course for free. After the first course, the student who wants to continue attending the courses will have to pay €100,00 for each course.

Payments are made by bank transfer.

Erasmus students of the KA 107 - Extra EU program pay each course (even the first one) €100,00.
