Alta Scuola Politecnica (ASP)(https://www.asp-poli.it/) is organizing a winter school entitled "The Intangible Matter of Places: Intangible and Innovation Commons", which will take place in Loano from 7th to 14th March 2022.

The school focuses on «wicked problems», complex decisions with long term effects, Sustainability and impact are at the heart of most political, entrepreneurial and financial agendas and have become contemporary paradigms that envision a world driven by an impact economy.

The Master's Degree Course in Management Engineering of the University of Palermo grants a master's student the opportunity to attend the winter school benefiting fromthe  board-and-lodging costs offered by the ASP(please, note that the travel expenses areborne by the student).

Interested students can send an email by February 24th 2022 to Professor Lo Nigro (giovanna.lonigro@unipa.it) with the subject "Winter School ASP". Specifically, interest students should attach their study program highlighting the grades of the passed exams to such email.

The selection will take place in two steps. In the first step, 10 master’s students will be selected on the basis of their academic career. In the second phase, the master’s student eligible to participate in the ASP winter school will be selected through an interview in English from among the 10 master’s students who have passed the first phase.

Aim of the winter school: "The Intangible Matter of Places: Intangible and Innovation Commons" winter school aims to offer concepts and tools as to critically and practically embed business’ activities in virtuous and investment-intensive impact economy ecosystems. Students will learn how to:

• navigate stakeholders’ expectations and pursue actionable conventions between public and private actors that promote economic objectives through sustainability and impact generation for society and the environment;

• embed impact in institutional arrangements through ex ante impact measurement and infrastructures that are jointly designed and implemented by both public and private actors;

• manage impact embeddedness through informed, measure-driven impact management tools that are responsive to and/or generative of innovation entrepreneurships and transformations.
