The program covers a wide range of topics and interdisciplinary approaches in the field of human rights, confronting its subject matter from the perspective of numerous disciplines, such as philosophy of law, political philosophy, domestic public and private law (personality rights, privacy issues), international law, international criminal law, comparative law, international and comparative tax law, history of social and political ideas, history of law and other related disciplines.

The topics cover, above all, issues of internal and international protection of human rights, the problems of international justice, issues in bioethics, ecology, resource allocation, immigration, armed conflicts and humanitarian interventions, as well as philosophical issues related to these topics.

The topics and disciples mentioned above should not be seen as exhaustive: quite the opposite it is an invitation for proposals stemming from other related scientific disciplies, thus enriching our pluralist and interdisciplinary environment. Our professors have the required competences to mentor students in pursuing their research goals in all of the above mentioned sectors. The doctorate welcomes all projects relating to human rights, in full compliance with Art. 2, Paragraph 3 of the University Rules and national directives.
