Marco Morana received his Laurea degree and the Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the University of Palermo, Italy, in 2007 and in 2011, respectively.

During his Ph.D. studies, his research mainly focused on multimedia information retrieval, face processing and more generally on computer vision and pattern recognition.

He is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Palermo, and his current research interests include data fusion and reasoning in smart environments, intelligent data analysis for user profiling, and Ambient Intelligence.
