The final examination of the 2nd cycle Degree Course in “Electronic Engineering” consists in the discussion of a written dissertation, written by the student under the guidance of an academic supervisor.

The dissertation topic must be previously approved by the Board of the Degree Course, and investigates issues of high scientific content, normally related to studies or plans highlighting innovative aspects of the typical Electronics research sectors.

Guide to Thesis Preparation

When writing their degree thesis, students are encouraged to consult the brief thesis-preparation guide created by the University Library System. It provides guidance on conducting bibliographic research, using online resources and tools, compiling a bibliography, and complying with copyright law.

The guide is the result of a joint effort by librarians, lecturers, and students, who worked together to select material for an initial introduction, spark curiosity, and direct readers towards more in-depth study at a later stage. The guide also includes a list of email addresses for a service provided by the librarian responsible for bibliographic services. Through this service, students can receive answers to their bibliographic questions or be referred to more specialised library staff.
