Alfredo De Massis

He is Full Professor of Entrepreneurship & Family Business and Director of the Centre for Family Business Management at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, Italy. He is also affiliated with Lancaster University Management School, UK. His research focuses on innovation and strategic management of family enterprises. In September 2015, Family Capital ranked him among the world’s top 25 star professors for family business. He serves as Associate Editor of Family Business Review and his research has been published widely in leading academic and professional journals including Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Management Studies, Journal Business Venturing, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Family Business Review, California Management Review, Academy of Management Perspectives, Global Strategy Journal, and has been featured in various media outlets including Financial Times, Harvard Business Review, CNBC.

She is an award-winning scholar whose work has been published in Administrative Science Quarterly, Journal of Management, Journal of Management Studies, Management Journal, and other global management journals. She is the recent recipient of the Bancroft Construction Faculty Fellowship at University of Delaware for her research. She teaches strategic management and international business at the undergraduate, graduate and executive levels, and in the graduate online program. Kati serves as Faculty Director for MBA and Graduate Programs, and is directs the MBA Case Competition. Her community engagement is through the Newark Partnership Organizing Committee.

Aaron Hill

He is on the faculty of the Warrington College of Business at the University of Florida. His research interests include the personal characteristics, compensation, and job mobility of executives. Aaron’s research has been published in outlets such as the Academy of Management Journal, the Strategic Management Journal, and the Journal of Management. He is an active member of SMS and previously served both on the advisory panel for the Research Methods Community and as a Representative at Large in the Strategic Leadership & Governance Interest Group. Aaron also currently serves on the editorial boards of the Academy of Management Journal, the Journal of Management, and Strategic Organization. He received his PhD from Oklahoma State University.

Michael Hitt

He conducts research on the international strategies of businesses including multinational firms, family firms and new venture firms, strategic entrepreneurship, managing and leveraging resources and corporate strategies and corporate governance. His work has been published in many of the top scholarly journals in our field to include the Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Strategic Management Journal, Organization Science, Journal of International Business Studies, and Journal of Management among others. The Times Higher Education listed him among the top scholars in economics, finance and management and a recent article in the Academy of Management Perspectives lists him as one of the top two management scholars in terms of the combined impact of his work both inside (i.e., citations in scholarly journals) and outside of academia. He is a former editor of the Academy of Management Journal and a former co-editor of the Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal. In recent years, he has been listed as a Thomson Reuters Highly Cited Researcher (a listing of the most influential researchers in each scholarly field). He is a Fellow in the Academy of Management, the Strategic Management Society, and the Academy of International Business. He is a former President of both the Academy of Management and the Strategic Management Society. He has received honorary doctorates from the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and Jonkoping University. He received the Irwin Outstanding Educator Award from the BPS Division and the Distinguished Service Award and the Distinguished Educator Award from the Academy of Management.

Donald O. Neubaum

He is Desantis Distinguished Professor of Management/Entrepreneurship at Florida Atlantic University. In 1998, he gained his PhD in Business Administration from the Georgia State University. He serves as Senior Editor for Family Business Review and as Associate Editor for Entrepreneurship Theory & Practice. His research has been published widely in leading academic and professional journals including Family Business Review, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Operations Management, Journal of Product Innovation Management, and Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes.

Pasquale Massimo Picone

He is Associate Professor of Management at University of Palermo. Previously, he has been Assistant Professor of Management at the University of Bergamo and post-doctoral research fellow and annual lecturer of Financial Management at the University of Catania, where he received his PhD in Business Economics & Management. He has held visiting positions at Texas A&M University and IE Business School in Madrid. His research work has been published in various outlets, including Academy of Management Perspectives, Global Strategy Journal, Journal of Business and Industrial Marketing, and Business Horizons. In 2014, he received two major awards: the History of Corporate Social Responsibility Award for the Best Paper from the Social Issues in Management Division of the Academy of Management, and the Best Paper in International Corporate Governance Award from the International Management Division of the same Academy of Management.

Payne G. Tyge

G. Tyge Payne is the Georgie G. Snyder Professor of Strategic Management and a Jerry S. Rawls Professor at Texas Tech University. Dr. Payne returned to TTU in 2006 after four years as an Assistant Professor at the University of Texas at Arlington. He holds a PhD in Strategic Management and an MBA, both from Texas Tech University. He is currently the Editor-in-Chief of Family Business Review. His research interests include organization-environment fit/misfit, interorganizational relationships, social capital, firm-level entrepreneurship, venture capitalism and family business. He has authored or co-authored over 60 peer-reviewed publications, which appear in such outlets as Business Ethics Quarterly, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Family Business Review, Health Care Management Review, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Management, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Small Business Management, Organizational Research Methods, and Organization Science, among others. He has been the recipient of several reviewer awards for his service to the strategic management and entrepreneurship academic communities; these include an Outstanding Reviewer Award from Group and Organization Management (2017), Outstanding Reviewer Award from Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice (2016), an Excellent Reviewer Award from Family Business Review (2012), five Best Reviewer Awards from the Academy of Management (2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2008) and three Best Reviewer Awards from the Southern Management Association (2001, 2002 & 2006).

She is an Assistant Professor at The University of Texas at San Antonio. She received her PhD from Texas A&M University. Her current research interests include family business, international corporate governance, and international business. Her research has appeared in Asia Pacific Journal of Management, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, Long Range Planning, Journal of Engineering and Technology Management, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Operations Management, Journal of World Business, and R&D Management.

He is Associate Professor at Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He received his Ph.D. in Management of Organizations from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. His recent research focuses on how corporate executives’ psychological characteristics affect firm strategic decisions and performance. His research work has been published in leading management journals including Academy of Management Journal, Strategic Management Journal, and Journal of Management. He currently sits on the editorial board of Strategic Management Journal.
