Abstract

In what way is bread the most symbolic food of all, simultaneously embodying the idea of food for the body and food for the spirit? in this essay, a semiotic analysis of bread as a cultural sign is proposed, putting forward methodological proposals on how to approach the notion of symbol in semiotics.
