Abstract

Utopian - First, let's get it out of our heads that there are no alternatives; rather, let's start dreaming and imagining a different world. At the basis of every change, in fact, there is a vision - the conditio sine qua non of design (project) - which becomes reality when we move from idea to action. However, the world does not always change as someone would like to design it. In fact, it almost never happens. More often, major changes are the direct or indirect consequence of technical advances that are initially irrelevant and then prove to be socially overwhelming. The germ of change, for example, may be contained in one pill, or perhaps two: the birth control pill and the power pill.
