Metodi digitali per la valorizzazione e divulgazione del patrimonio architettonico

Abstract

The methods and practices of architectural survey and representation have been radically modified, in the past three decades, by the spread of Personal Computers, surveying devices that use structured light, sensors for the image acquisition and, last but not least, digital tools for representation and 3D modeling. This paper focuses on a general overview of the opportunities provided by digital technologies for the recording, knowledge and communication of architectural heritage. A special focus is dedicated to the use of perspective restitution for the reconstruction of gone buildings from period photos and to the use of Augmented Reality solutions for the contextualization of virtual reconstructions.
