Abstract

The harmonization process of the European degree study programs in Agricultural/Biosystems Engineering was started in 1989 and is still in progress. At present this process benefits from the results of two European thematic networks: USAEE-TN, whose best achievements are the core curricula to be used as benchmarks for degree study programs in Agricultural/Biosystems Engineering; ERABEE-TN, still working towards developing the results of USAEE-TN itself. Another important contribution towards the harmonization of the European curricula in Agricultural/Biosystems Engineering was achieved through the cooperation between the EU and the US, during the project of POMSEBES consortium. This paper describes the harmonization process of degree study programs in Agricultural/Biosystems Engineering in Europe.
