LMG-01 – GIURISPRUDENZA

 

Educational objectives and professional opportunities for graduates

The 2nd cycle Degree course in “Law” provides for:

 - Advanced elements of basic national and European juridical culture, acquired also through case-study methodology, as to issues useful for the comprehension and evaluation of principles or institutes of positive law;

 - Advanced historical knowledge, enabling graduates to evaluate positive law institutes under the perspective of their historical evolution;

 - Ability to produce (regulatory and/or contractual and/or procedural) judicial texts which should be clear, consistent, relevant and effective as to the context;

 - Advanced skills for interpretation, case analysis, juridical qualification (relating facts to cases in point), understanding, representation, evaluation and the awareness needed to cope with issues related to the interpretation and application of law;

 - Advanced learning tools for the continuous building of skills and competences.

Graduates of this course might become lawyers or judges; they might as well hold high responsibility positions in various social, socio-political and economic fields: institutions, public administrations, private companies, trade unions, in the field of information law, in the field off comparative, international and European Union law (European jurists), and in those international organisations where abilities to analyse, evaluate and decide are required.

 

 

For the above mentioned reasons, the degree course is designed to:

 - complete students’ core and specialist education, ensuring the overall coherence of the educational programme with regard to the specific educational objectives of the field;

 - cover related and integrated disciplines which characterise the educational programme in various professional areas;

 - Provide students, through specific educational activities, characterised by adequate methodologies, with knowledge and awareness of :

 a) the institutional and organisational traits of legal systems;

 b) professional deontology, juridical and forensic reasoning, legal sociology and legal information science,

 c) law lexicon of at least one foreign Language-
