LM-20 – INGEGNERIA AEROSPAZIALE
Educational objectives – professional opportunities for graduates
The educational programme provides students with advanced knowledge of the theoretical-applicative aspects of various sector–specific subjects, such as aerodynamics, flight dynamics, plants, propulsion, constructional and technological aspects of aircrafts. 2nd cycle graduates will acquire full command of advanced methods for analysing, modelling and solving complex problems which are typical of aerospace design, as well as the decision-making and operational capabilities about the use of the most appropriate theoretical, computer and experimental tools for solving them. They will also acquire the capability of communicating the results of studies, experimentations and analyses carried out upon complex aerospace systems, and specific communication skills for a correct interaction within teams in highly specialised international contexts, through their knowledge of written and spoken English language (typical of the aerospace sector)..
As to career destinations, the 2nd cycle graduates of this degree might work as private practitioners or find employment in public administration, manufacturing or service companies in the following areas:
- innovation and development of production;
- advanced design, planning and programming;
- management of complex systems.
They might as well find a job in aeronautical or spatial industry, in public or private institutes for spatial experimentation, in airline companies or in those running air traffic, in the Air Force and in the related sectors in the Armed Forces, in machine and equipment manufacturing companies where aerodynamics and light structures play an important role.
