Abstract

Integrating Service Learning (SL) activities, particularly within university courses, can provide students with a transformative educational experience, generating significant benefits for their self-perception, civic engagement, and achievement of learning outcomes. The focus is on the implementation of this pedagogical approach, which aims to make a meaningful contribution to the educational field by fostering students' prosocial behaviours. Beyond supporting learning, Service Learning promotes the development of responsibility-related competences by providing authentic contexts in which students can take active and leading roles.
