Rosa Agazzi e Olga Cossettini: la Guida per le educatrici dell'infanzia e la Escuela Serena

Abstract

This article analyses the pedagogical contribution of Rosa Agazzi and Olga Cossettini, two important protagonists in the history of 20th century education. Rosa Agazzi, active in the context of post-unification Italy, developed with her sister Carolina an innovative educational approach for kindergartens, based on concrete experience and the use of simple materials, with the aim of promoting children's autonomy and creativity. Olga Cossettini, on the other hand, worked in Argentina during a period of consolidation of the national education system, creating together with her sister Lecticia an innovative primary school model, the "Scuola Serena".The article explores the historical, cultural and political influences that affected their work, highlighting the relevance and the actuality of their pedagogical proposals for the renewal of contemporary education and, in particular, for the training of educators and teachers
