The FEM – Colloquium will be held at the “Aula Michele Capitò" - Ed. 7 – Faculty of Engineering – University of Palermo (Viale delle Scienze – Palermo).
How to get to Palermo:
Airport – Falcone-Borsellino: International Airport is located 35 Km from downtown city. The city can be reached from the airport by: car, train, bus.
By car: From the arport get highway A29
By train: the train Trinacria Express links airport to downtown city (around 40 minutes) with stops at: Palermo Central Station (Palermo centrale), Palermo Notarbartolo, Vespri, Palazzo Reale – Orleans, Francia, Piraineto. For details see the site: www.trenitalia.com
The stop nearest the Colloquium site is Palazzo Reale – Orleans
By bus: the bus service is named Prestia & Comandé (091.586351 - www.prestiaecomande.it). This bus makes two stops one at Piazza Politeama (near most of the hotels) and the second at the Palermo Central Station. You can buy the ticket (around 6.10 €) on the bus.
The taxi stop is located just outside the Airport Arrivals
Train Station: Palermo Central Station is at piazza Giulio Cesare. Subway, bus terminal (urban and extra-urban services) and taxi station are connected with the station. For more information you can visit Trenitalia webpage.
Ferries
Different companies routinely carry passengers to and from Palermo to Genoa, Livorno, Cagliari, Civitavecchia, Naples, Salerno and the smaller islands.
