Abstract

What does philosophy think about the current conflicts in Ukraine and Palestine? In an era in which decisions involving people are based on profit calculations or dogmas, the thoughtful and analytical contribution of philosophy can give depth to issues that too often, in improper media coverage - often mystifying or steeped in political propaganda - present hasty and superficial approaches. Contributions from the authors of this collection: they dissect the causes of wars; they examine the communication mechanisms that speak to it; they prepare a theoretical evaluation framework drawing on specific concepts of moral and political philosophy.
