ANTONINO BLANDO

1992. TRENT'ANNI DOPO

Abstract

Today, more than thirty years after that season of massacres, and after having also crossed the wave unscathed of the shock of 11 September 2001, which saw the explosion of man-bombs, trucks, belts, vests, envelopes, nothing has happened in Italy anymore. No attacks in the last thirty years. Yet it was the same country which, from the birth of the Republic onwards, had forced two generations of Italians to suffer everything: bombs in banks, on trains, in squares, in stations, attacks in airports, on pylons of high voltage, in front of the basilicas, inside the factories, under the motorways, in the places of institutions democratic and front of house. Then all this ended in 1992-93. How was this possible?
