Progetto MARE

University of Palermo welcomes the first cohort of MARE Exchange Students!

Palermo - 24/09/2025. The University of Palermo has welcomed its first cohort of MARE exchange students.

About 30 students will spend one semester in Palermo, coming from MARE partner universities across the Mediterranean, including Hussein Technical University, Tafila Technical University, Yarmouk University, and Al Balqa University (Jordan); the University of Tunis El Manar, the University of Monastir, and the University of Gabès (Tunisia); the Lebanese International University (Lebanon); Birzeit University (Palestine); and the University Mohammed V Rabat (Morocco).

They will attend master's degree courses and undertake PhD research in diverse fields such as Tourism and Hotel Management; Migration Studies; Governance; Policies and Cultures; Electrical Engineering; and Chemistry.

The MARE project is dedicated to strengthening cooperation between Italian universities and institutions on the southern shore of the Mediterranean. Student mobility is a core component of this strategy, fostering academic exchange and cultural understanding.

The initiative shows the consortium’s commitment to building lasting partnerships and enriching the educational experience for everyone involved.
