Abstract
This study investigates the role of the Big Five Personality Factors as predictors of Facebook usage employing Structural Equation Modeling. Results obtained through Path Analysis establish Openness as a predictor of early adoption, Conscientiousness of sparing use, Extraversion of long sessions and abundant friendships, Neuroticism of high sessions frequency. The eventual role of Agreeableness in predicting low sessions frequency and friendships needs further validation
