Abstract
Exile becomes an existential dimension for MarÃa Zambrano never lived as an «absence», but rather as a «commitment » by being part of a collective identity. His work is develops in the flow of philosophical essay, encompassing editation about the literary universe, as theory and as praxis. In spring of 1936, the magazine from Zaragoza Nordeste publishes a of novel», entitled «Since then». A few months later, the Coup will start the Civil War and the Dictatorship and for Maria Zambrano to a long exile. It is likely that his narrative project, a novel titled The Waiting. Since then, it has suffered right after the painful personal and collective change. The attempt of this study is to trace a path through the narrative scaffolding of this «fragmented» text, reclaiming the thinker’s meditation in relation to his personal dimension of exile as a collective memory.
