In this article, I will analyze three rulings concerning the issue of the display of the crucifix in school classrooms – the ruling of the Council of State No. 566 of 2006, in summary, the ruling of the Grand Chamber of the European Court of Human Rights in the case of Lautsi v. Italy from 2011, and the ruling of the United Sections of the Court of Cassation No. 24414 of 2021
