Abstract

The essay offers a semiotic reflection on landscape grounded in the nexus between care and meaning-making processes. Its aim is to examine landscape not as a mere territorial given, but as the outcome of perceptual and interpretive practices that engage subject and environment in a dynamic relationship. The essay proposes to approach landscape as a space of symbolic negotiation and as a privileged domain for investigating the forms of care that inform the relationship between human beings and their environment.
