Abstract
In the work of architect and designer Nanda Vigo, the house is no longer just a place to live, but the place where the spectacle of living, putting on and showing off, takes place: interiors become dramatic, they adapt to working with a character, the artist, whose interest is entirely focused on the interior landscape and the dialogue with works of art. The artificialization of natural light transforms domestic intimacy into a stage within which the "inhabitant" at the center of the space is the protagonist of an intimate, but certainly not solitary, show. The text analyzes the role of light in the houses created by Vigo for artists and art collectors, seeking the continuous link between architecture, design and masterpieces.
