ROBERTA CRUCIATA

Maestranze siciliane e guerre corsare nel Mediterraneo moderno. Considerazioni su un celebre caso studio: la “montagna di corallo”

Abstract

The essay, in the context of the mobility of artists, transfer of works of art and ideas and the corsair wars in the Mediterranean at the end of the 16th century, intends to shed new light on the historical events that led to the disappearance of a complex artefact very famous over the centuries: the so-called "coral mountain" by Trapani workers destined for King Philip II of Spain.
