MsC in Civil Engineering (1990), PhD. in Structural Engineering. Associate Professor in Structural Engineering at the University of Palermo, author of more than 130 papers (28 on international journals, 3 on national journals, and more of 35 on International Conference proocedings). The research activities include in the fields of Structural Engineering and Seismic Engineering, focused of Procedure for Seismic Design and Vulnerability Assessment of Structure, the use of innovative devices and materials for seismic protection of the structure and design of Hybrid Steel Truss Concrete Beam. He participated on several national research projects and currently is the managing director of the operative unit of Palermo in the Reluis DPC 2014-2016 project.
