MEDJICARP Spring School13 - 15 April 2027venueUniversity of Palermo campus (Italy)organized byUniversity of Palermo (Engineering Department)ISPRA (Italian Institute for Environmental Protection and Research).The school will provide interdisciplinary training on coastal ocean observing systems, with a focus on HF radar, FerryBox systems, marine environmental monitoring, oceanographic data, QA/QC, and operational applications such as oil spill response, search and rescue, water quality monitoring, marine protected areas and coastal management.Applications will be assessed based on the relevance of the applicant’s background, motivation, expected benefit, potential to apply the knowledge gained, technical experience or interest and geographical position.A limited numbers of financial support vouchers (i.e. travel, accommodation, transfers and VISA support) will be made available by the organization committee. These are intended exclusively for students and early career research . Financial support will be awarded on a competition basis, with contributions of up to € 1500 for European Union Mediterranean Countries (EUMC) applicants and up to € 2000 for Mediterranean Partner Countries (MPC), subject to available funds. The selection will be based on the ranking of the applicants achieved during the evaluation phase.
