E' Professoressa Ordinaria di “Sociologia generale” e “Sociologia del pensiero femminile”.
È stata Visiting Researcher nelle università di Belgrado (2014), Lubiana (2016), Sheffield (2018) e Cracovia (2021), Barcellona (2023).
È stata componente del consiglio dell’ISA Research Network 32 (Women, Gender and Society) nel triennio 2019-2021 e precedentemente, per due mandati (dal 2013 al 2018), componente del Consiglio scientifico nazionale di “Studi di genere” dell’AIS.
Ha partecipato, e soprattutto diretto, progetti Horizon, Daphne, Cerv, Justice in ambito europeo e progetti Prin in ambito nazionale. È stata designata nel 2022, e successivamente nel 2024, componente della Commissione di valutazione Europea per la selezione di progetti nell’ambito della misura CERV-DAPHNE.

My methodological interests include structural equation modelling, measurement invariance, longitudinal research, and evaluation of intervention programs
My sustentative areas of interests include parent-child relations and the psychosocial adjustment of adolescents and emerging adults, social, democratic and intercultural competence in childhood and adolescence
I have been the Coordinator of the Erasmus+ project “Children’s Voices for a new Human Space” (https://www.cvs-project.eu/), the responsible person for impact evaluation of the project “DAPPERTUTTO: Territori e comunità per inventare il futuro” (https://danilodolci.org/dappertutto/)
