How to apply for an Erasmus+ mobility grant

MOBILITY DURATION: minimum 3 - maximum 12 months (you can also do the stage abroad)

CALL: the next call for students’ mobility will be online on March 2021 at this web page https://workplace.unipa.it/amministrazione/direzionegenerale/serviziospecialeinternazionalizzazione/u.o.politichediinternazionalizzazione/. The call will detail:

• the list of Interinstitutional Agreements with Partner Universities;

• the names of the academics responsible for the interinstitutional agreement;

• the number of grants available;

• the expected duration of the mobility;

• the language in which the assessment of linguistic competence is carried out.

The call is usually addressed to the degree course students of the 2nd year and to the master degree students of the 1st year. Thus, students of the degree course will give exams for their 3rd year and students of the master degree will give exams for their 2nd year.

CLA INTERVIEW: Only for outgoing students. Depending on the chosen destination, the University Language Center (CLA) at Unipa will verify and issue the language certification required by the chosen destination. The interview usually takes place between May and June. Students holding already a valid certification will be exempted from the interview.

RESULTS OF THE SELECTION: after having ascertained the required level of language, the final ranking will be drawn up and consequently the winners will be nominated. Once nominated, students will find information on the courses provided and the links to apply in the hosting university website.

HOW TO PREPARE THE LEARNING AGREEMENT (LA): The student, under the supervision of the degree course coordinator, and the academic responsible for the Erasmus agreement, will have to identify the semester(s) and the exams that will be taken abroad. The Learning Agreement (LA) must then be filled in (Learning agreement for study available at http://www.unipa.it/amministrazione/area2/uoa06/erasmus/modulistica-per-studenti/). The LA must be signed by the student, the degree course coordinator, and the academic responsible for the Erasmus agreement.

IF YOU WANT TO CHANGE YOUR LA: During your stay abroad, changes in the LA (e.g., exams to be taken and validation of ECTS) are allowed. Any change must be recorded in the LA, and then signed and authorized by the Degree Coordinator and the academic responsible for the Erasmus agreement.
