Musei spontanei. Pratiche e processi partecipativi di trasformazione dei luoghi

Abstract

Cities are a net of relationships, weaving and inhabiting spaces, connecting people and building culture. In Palermo, some projects, both ancient and recent, promoted and entirely managed by communities, trace the frontier of new reflections on the theme of contemporary urban space, as a participatory space for sharing experiences, and on new perspectives of patrimonialisation built from below, around the collection of "everyday objects" that, in a personal choice of exhibition, constitute a significant fragment of the history of territories. They thus describe new open, changeable, synergistic scenarios of fruition, requiring a necessary cultural re-elaboration, of which design, as a discipline with a strong relational vocation, can make itself the bearer, proposing new forms of design capable of effectively expressing and communicating the values stratified in cultural heritage
