Abstract

Education is a common good because it helps foster a desire for good in young citizens who are capable of improving the society into which they were born, with their professional competence and cultural awareness. In pursuit of the common good, political ideologies must not influence the educational efforts of adults who aim to develop in young people the capacity for free and responsible choices.
