Mental health is measured through the popularity of four Google search topics. The most reliable monthly search frequency series are broken down into weekly time series using a dynamic Chow-Lin procedure. Finally, these series are combined into a weekly mental distress index for Italy from 2004 to 2023 through a non-compensatory DEA-BoD approach
