Sicani: where marginality meets cultural heritage through the place-based approach

Abstract

The policies of enhancement of the cultural heritage as an engine of territorial economic growth represent the framework of the research project. In accordance with the 11th goal of the 2030 Agenda Target 11.4 “Strengthening commitments to protect and safeguard the cultural heritage”, the cultural heritage can play a fertile role in overcoming the different types of marginalities, as in the case of national inner territories, the large part of Italian territory subject to marginality and depopulation
