Esempi di applicazione dei chatbot allo studio del Talmud Babilonese

Abstract

Artificial intelligences are used in humanistic research and Jewish studies in particular through some projects. This article aims to answer the question of whether the most popular chatbots, namely ChatGPT and Gemini, can be considered a valid tool for the analysis of sources within the Babylonian Talmud; the chatbots have been evaluated under different aspects: knowledge of Talmudic Aramaic, ability to find references to other sources within the Talmud, ability to recognize the numerous sources.
