Abstract

“Legal challenges of disruptive technologies” explores, from a national, international, and comparative perspective, the main legal implications related to emerging digital innovations that are revolutionizing our society and economy. Blockchain, AI, the Internet of Things, and Quantum are almost completely integrated into everyday life, presenting both unlimited and unknown opportunities and risks, and posing new needs for protection for individuals and professionals. This book offers some valuable insights into the crucial regulatory debate on technologies, by collecting contributions from an international team of academics, researchers, and practitioners who met and discussed their research at the International Scientific Workshop I – Legal Challenges of Disruptive Technologies (Warsaw, Oct. 27–28, 2023), organized by the Kozminski University in collaboration with the University of Palermo, Masaryk University, the Cyber & Data Security Lab (Vrije Universiteit Brussel), Warsaw University of Technology, Women in AI Poland, and the AI LAW TECH Foundation.
