Il difficile innesto della sostenibilità nei disciplinari DOP e IGP secondo le regole del nuovo Regolamento n. 1143/2024 : l’esperienza nell’ambito del progetto Prin PNRR INWINE

Abstract

This contribution analyses the new rules that, within the regulation n. 1143 of 2024 establishing new rules for the protection of geographical indications (GI) of wines, spirits and agricultural products, as well as for traditional specialities guaranteed (STG) and the optional quality indications for agricultural products, regulate the possibility for producer groups to include in the specifications of wines GI changes that include sustainability practices and highlights their critical aspects. It concludes with an operational proposal that provides for the accession of protection consortia to the sustainability standards already elaborated and approved by ministerial decree in March 2022.
