Architettura del paesaggio e politiche ambientali. Le ambizioni del Green Deal e le sfide del progetto dello spazio aperto urbano

Abstract

To respond to the environmental challenges of our time, in December 2019 the European Commission launched the Green Deal. The plan acts on society, the economy and the climate, with the aim of guiding Europe towards a green and inclusive transition. The Green Deal calls for moving beyond a sectoral view of public policy, proposing a systemic and interdisciplinary approach in which the economy, social justice and ecological quality are closely intertwined. In this scenario, landscape architecture can and must take on a strategic role, as it offers concrete tools for designing, managing and caring for the urban environment.
