Abstract
This research rethinks inland waters as cultural, ecological and architectural resources in Mediterranean emptied landscapes. Focusing on Sicily and Piazza Armerina, it proposes small-scale infrastructures, water trails and participatory practices to reconnect communities with freshwater systems, addressing drought, memory, biodiversity and territorial care.
