Abstract

This paper present a new approach, based on the solution of an optimal power flow problem and the application of the block bootstrap with a moving sampling window, to calculate the influence of atmospheric parameters (here named “external influences”) on microgrids' reliability. The methodology is applied to a smart car park microgrid with a photovoltaic systema, a battery energy storage system, some critical loads, and allows to assess how the variation of solar irradiance and ambient temperature can affect the behavior of the batteries and the ability of the microgrids of working in islanded mode for a certain time. The results of the analysis are reported in the form of correlation matrices between the external influences and the SoC of the battery.
