Abstract
Craft is considered a vector of local memory, which also becomes an inspiring value for hybrid design practices operating between design and craft. This study investigates how hybrid design interprets Memory as a tool and theme, and how technology can shape Memory as an experience. Through a qualitative methodology, this review of ten European case studies shows how designers embed memory into materials, form, and process, revealing that memory can become a driver for ecological awareness, cultural regeneration, and speculative futures when enhanced by digital tools and participatory methods.
