Abstract
The article describes the specific category of cylindrical column sundials, analyzing their main types. The first part analyzes The first part analyzes the properties that regulate the functioning of the instruments, promoting knowledge and dissemination of the gnomonic heritage. Subsequently, with educational and informative intentions, a design variant is proposed which, by applying graphic-resolving processes of projective geometry, integrates aesthetic-functional elements of traditional configurations.
