DOMENICO CICCARELLO

Trinacria in giubilo. Entrate regali e cerimonie solenni in relazioni e avvisi a stampa siciliani tra Cinque e Settecento

Abstract

Some products of the Sicilian typography between the sixteenth and eighteenth centuries, attributable to the literary genre of notices and press reports, made on the occasion of funerals, military conquests and wedding celebrations, are examined. The texts are written in different languages (Italian, Latin, Spanish, and also in Sicilian vernacular) for different recipients, and they are also distributed for the very short interlude of the Savoy kingdom in Sicily in the eighteenth century, with interesting parallel editions, printed in Turin.
