L’università italiana fra potenzialità, possibilità attuali e limiti d’analisi

Abstract

The literature increasingly highlights the potential positive role that universities can play across multiple dimensions of territorial development. In Italy, however, this potential remains constrained by the nature of national university policies. The current government is reviving a path-dependent regulation model characterized by chronic underfunding of higher education and the flexibilization of academic careers. While the impacts of past policies have been examined in relation to governance and territorial disparities on one side, and gender inequalities on the other, these lines of research have largely evolved in isolation, with limited cross-dialogue between them.
