Their unique nonlinear properties, broadband gain, and low-noise performance make them critical for applications ranging from superconducting qubit readout to microwave quantum sensing.This thesis will focus on the device-level aspects of JTWPA technology, including design, materials, fabrication techniques, modeling, characterization, and integration strategies.Collaborazioni con Istituto Nazionale di Ricerca Metrologica -INRiM, Torino e con enti di ricerca ed aziende leader in Norvegia, in Francia e negli USA, presso i quali potrebbe svolgersi un periodo di tesi.

Tognazzi Andrea Multiphysics design of integrated Electro-Optical Modulators

Numerical modeling of electro-optical modulators for integrated optical circuits. The design will address modulation capability of traditional platforms, such as LiNbO3, or novel platforms, such as transition metal dichalcogenides. The multiphysics approach aims to study the robustness of the modulator and generate a foundry ready design.
